Born Again Concerts presents PSYCROPTIC plus special guests PHOBETOR and LOBOTOMICA live at Downstairs at The Dome

When the history of technical metal is viewed in years to come, the books will come to show that PSYCROPTIC are responsible for a hefty slice of the genre. The band blasted into the deepest underground in the late 90s, then proceeded to drag the metal scene closer to what they do by sheer attrition. Their music guides you through the densest of riff jungles before bursting into the clear with powerfully rhythmic grooves and blasts, anchored by the profoundly talented Haley brothers.

VON HERTZEN BROTHERS

DHP Family presents VON HERTZEN BROTHERS live at The Dome

Von Hertzen Brothers have never been an easy band to categorise by genre.

Their music is often and better illustrated in terms one might use to describe a novella, painting or a movie: Dynamic. Thought provoking. Magical. Nuanced. Expansive. Epic. Uplifting. It’s understandable how a strong artistic temperament was instilled into these three siblings. Kie, Mikko and Jonne’s father, Hasse and uncle, Lasse von Hertzen both played in well-known Scandinavian bands in the 60’s and 70s. One of Kie’s godfathers was an early Finnish environmentalist pioneer, the other one a well-known artist and a sculptor. The boys spent their holidays at their family’s seaside cabin on Finnish coastland where they still spend time writing songs and exploring the nature. An inevitable mutual vision steeped in Finnish folklore, musical traditions, wildlife, and humanitarian causes is often evident in their songwriting.

BEEN STELLAR

Metropolis Music Presents BEEN STELLAR with support from GREEN STAR live at The Dome

Like so many other dyed-in-the-wool New York bands, Been Stellar are transplants. Guitarist Skyler Knapp and vocalist Sam Slocum first met in their freshman year of high school a decade ago; members of the cross country team, they bonded over the band t-shirt Skyler was wearing and decided to start jamming together. In Michigan, they started performing under the Been Stellar name, but it wasn’t until the pair began studying at NYU that a sound started to coalesce and the band took shape.

Determined to break new sonic ground, the band embarked on a relentless practice schedule, even renting scrappy studios on days off during tours with Fontaines DC and Shame. After befriending him at SXSW, the band tapped producer Dan Carey (black midi, Wet Leg) to help coalesce the disparate elements of their sound that had been percolating: forceful, driving physicality; pop classicism; gnarled beauty; and a rich emotional core. The resulting 10-song album announces Been Stellar as gimlet-eyed chroniclers of contemporary youth, staring through noise and confusion into the dark heart of modern life. These songs embody the spirit of a city that makes and breaks its inhabitants on a daily basis - an irony befitting the album’s tone: Been Stellar’s preternatural ability to capture the disconnection that haunts New York with photorealist detail might just be the thing that vaults them into its pantheon.

Been Stellar is Sam Slocum (vocals), Skyler Knapp (guitar), Nico Brunstein (bass), Gigi Giobbi (drums).

CHASE PETRA

Slam Dunk Presents CHASE PETRA with support from SOOT SPRITE and BRUTALLIGATORS live Downstairs at The Dome

CHASE PETRA’s music has always been about growth: growing up, growing out, growing tired of what others expect of you. On their sophomore album, LULLABIES FOR DOGS (Wax Bodega), the Long Beach, CA trio once again elevates the existential questions that pepper life’s long, unpredictable journey.

The follow-up to 2018’s Liminal, Lullabies for Dogs alternates timeless melodicism (the somber “Two Nights In New York” and hypnotic acoustic-based “Icarus”) and tireless energy (“Centrifugal Force” and “Bread And Circus,” which crash with the unpredictability of early Panic! At the Disco) – establishing Allen, drummer Evan Schaid and bassist Brooke Dickson as one of the emo scene’s most adroit acts.

And it’s their sense of figuring things out in real time that makes Chase Petra so relatable, as the band’s “quarter-life-crisis pop” elevates deep introspection to navigate the messiness and confusion that comes with modern life. Their songs are guided by the age-old push-and-pull between what it means to grow up and be grown up, to see your once-bright dreams dulled by the responsibilities of adulthood and grapple with the fallout.

“A lot of this record deals with what it means to be an adult who’s playing music and also has bills to pay,” Allen says. “I’ve wanted to do this my whole life, and I’ve never second-guessed that – but now my frontal lobe is fully developed, and I’m starting to wonder if this is really going to make me happy or if it’s going to tear me apart.”

LiveNation presents Night Verses with support from DVNE live at The Dome

Night Verses first galvanised listeners with their 2012 EP ‘Out Of The Sky’, merging prog, alt-metal, post-rock and ambient electronica into their own intoxicating strain of cinematic metal.

They continued to hone their bold songwriting and genre-bending musicianship on their debut full-length,

2014’s ‘Lift Your Existence’. After the mass critical acclaim that followed, they returned in 2016 with the full-length ‘Into The Vanishing Light’ produced by legendary producer Ross Robinson (Slipknot, At The Drive In). The album was the band’s first release after signing with Equal Vision Records, and marked their last album with a vocalist.

The band released their first instrumental album 2018, with the critically acclaimed ‘From The Gallery Of Sleep’, which cemented them as fearless, genre-defying innovators. Dubbed “The Salvador Dali of prog-metal” by Noisey / Vice, the album was hailed as "boundary-breaking prog" (Revolver), "ambitious and creative" (Exclaim!) and "a layered prog masterpiece" (Distorted Sound).

Their latest album, Every Sound Has a Color in the Valley of Night, has been met with critical and fan acclaim, solidifying their place at the forefront of the progressive music scene.

With well over 20 million career streams and unanimously glowing praise for their first five releases, the stage is set for NIGHT VERSES to ascend to even greater heights.

CAKE & CHAOS: The T Party is a fundraising event hosted by The Dome and in collaboration with folks from One Night Parties and Big Fat Cabaret, House of Arcane, Lucid Sober Events, Decolonyze Urself and many others. This will be an evening of festivities to raise important funds for these grassroots organisations doing life-saving work for the Trans communities in the UK: Trans Kids Deserve Better, Black Trans Alliance, Trans Legal Clinic and Not a Phase. The night will consist of a panel talk on the current trans experience and how we can be better allies, market stalls, performances, a cake sale, a prize raffle, a BBQ in our beer garden, DJs and much more!

Important update: our event has been postponed to Saturday 20th September.

We realised the original date clashed with Brighton Trans Pride and as such would split audiences. As this event is for trans people, we absolutely don’t want to put folks in the position of having to choose between the two. Our aim is to create space, not compete for it.

We’re super grateful for your support and understanding. All tickets will automatically roll over to the new date, but if you’re unable to make it on the 20th, just let us know and we’ll sort a refund.

Thanks again for being part of this and see you in September!

With love,

Live Nation presents TSS plus support from Pavé live Downstairs at The Dome

TSS (formerly known as The Sunday Sadness) is a dynamic French modern metal band known for their innovative blend of emo, metalcore, alternative rock, synthwave, and more recently, phonk and neo-metal influences. The band was founded in 2016 by Kirby, who sought to combine his emo and metalcore roots into a fresh new sound. The band quickly solidified its lineup with John on guitar and Hugo on Drums.

February 2023 saw TSS embrace a more aggressive style with "Tes Pleurs," a modern metalcore track inspired by Bring Me The Horizon and Poppy. This new direction broadened their audience while maintaining their unique gothic/k-pop aesthetic. The band’s experimental spirit led to the August 2023 release of "Fantasize," a viral hit that fused alternative rock, j-rock, phonk, and metal, earning millions of streams on Spotify.

THE OBSESSED

DesertScene presents THE OBSESSED performing 'The Church Within' in its entirety live Downstairs at The Dome

"Scott “Wino” Weinrich is a living legend. In a way, he is the American version of Lemmy and shares many traits with the late, much-beloved metal icon. He’s always been a rebel, loner and an outsider in an outsider scene, pursuing his music without regard for popularity or acceptance. In the process, he came to be considered one of the early pioneers of American doom. All of this began when he founded THE OBSESSED back in the 70s, then pursued through his many other outfits such as Saint Vitus or Spirit Caravan. As a key part of the 80s Washington/Maryland music scene, his music earned the respect of metal, punk and crossover fans alike while often being dubbed doom metal. Looking back, it was just gritty, street-wise American metal with a cynical bent and psychedelic flair, and this is what made him the unique and timeless heavy music icon he is today.

THE OBSESSED was formed in the late 1970s in Potomac, Maryland by legendary guitarist Scott “Wino” Weinrich (Saint Vitus, Spirit Caravan). The band spawned in the realm of musicians/artists such as Black Sabbath, Frank Zappa, The Dictators, and The Stooges. The earliest lineup consisted of Wino, bassist Mark Laue, guitarist John Reese, and drummer Dave Flood. In 1983, Wino took over vocal duties and the band became a three-piece to record the Sodden Jackal EP. The band broke up in the late 80s after Wino moved to California to join Saint Vitus. At that time, a German label, Hellhound Records, and the booking agency that had signed Saint Vitus, released The Obsessed, originally recorded in 1985, prompting Wino to reform THE OBSESSED. After multiple lineup changes, the band signed to Columbia Records in 1994 to release their third and final album, The Church Within. Despite highly acclaimed reviews, they would break up following the release, seeing Wino forming Spirit Caravan (then Shine) and other projects."

WORMROT

Old Empire & Doomstar proudly present WORMROT live Downstairs at The Dome

WORMROT will be back in the original line up! Rolling Stones Magazine described Wormrot's latest release ''HISS'' (2022) as one of the best metal releases of the year. To understand this Singaporean band's most unlikely journey to arrive on a list comprising the likes of Megadeth and Ozzy Osbourne, one must look back to the start where an equally unlikely signing started it all. Earache Records signed their very first Asian act in Wormrot within 2 weeks of Digby Pearson's chance encounter of an online mixtape back in 2009. Fresh faced and straight out of national service, the trio consisting of Rasyid (Guitar), Arif (Vocals), and Fitri (Drums), found themselves with a global record deal.

Now back to the original lineup that started it all, Wormrot is geared to claim a place atop Grind’s pinnacle. Perhaps Kerrang Magazine put it best, that 'Wormrot can grind faces with the best of them, but they also bring in a host of other elements and their own unique flavour'.

earthtone9

Kilimanjaro proudly presents earthtone9 with support from The Five Hundred live at The Dome

earthtone9 are rightly hailed by those who know as one of the most forward-thinking, clever, musically wise and creatively smart in the history of British metal. Emerging in the late ‘90s as nu-metal was beginning to surge, their more nuanced palette and intelligent approach saw them hailed as something special and excitingly against the grain from the very beginning. Making an album a year between 1998 and 2000 – beginning with their expertly crafted Lo-def(inition) Discord debut, and culminating in 2000’s staggering Arc’tan’gent – it was a workrate as intense as the music was uniformly brilliant.

After splitting in 2002 the band made a surprise return in 2013 with the crowdfunded album, IV. Following this they made only occasional appearances in the live arena (including at the ArcTanGent Festival, which purloined its name from their third album!), before once again seeming to disappear on hiatus.

Now, 11 years on from their last record, they present In Resonance Nexus, a thrilling work of brains and muscle that not only stokes a fire, but sees the band's core members – vocalist Karl Middleton and guitarists Owen Packard and Joe Roberts – rediscovering and reconnecting with what makes them so special. In Resonance Nexus is the heaviest, fiercest, most heightened record they have ever made; a startling combination of almost feral intensity and the latter-day songwriting chops they displayed on the IV album.

“In Resonance Nexus, as a title, is saying that we’ve found the core and the essence of the band again,” says Karl. “We were digging deep to find common musical ground, and between Joe and Owen, and I, it really felt like that there was a resonance there. It feels like we've landed on a really legitimate, 21st century version of the band. We were asking, ‘Why are we doing this?’ and having a very authentic answer.”

MOON SAFARI

London Prog Gigs presents MOON SAFARI live at Downstairs at The Dome

Swedish progressive rock veterans MOON SAFARI are back in London as part of their 20th anniversary tour. Marking two decades since the release of their debut album ‘A Doorway to Summer’, the band is following on the success of their latest critically acclaimed studio album ‘Himlabacken Vol. 2’ which earned them a top five spot in the Prog Magazine Readers Poll of 2023 and saw them play for sold out crowds in Japan, UK, Norway and Sweden.

Moon Safari have risen to be one of the top contenders on the melodic progressive rock scene. With five studio albums, two live recordings and a list of past shows including opening slots for Yes at the Royal Albert hall in 2016 and for ex-Marillion frontman Fish in 2018, together with several sold out headline tours in Japan and five appearances on Cruise to the Edge, the band has racked up an impressive list of accomplishments for a independent act that still releases all their music on their label Blomljud Records.

On this tour the band will be putting on a big, varied show spanning their whole 20-year career to appeal both to the old school Moon Safari listeners and newcomers alike. Highly recommended for fans of classic melodic progressive rock with big vocal arrangements!

Johan Westerlund (bass, backing and occasional lead vocals) says:

"We're delighted to announce this London show as part of our 20th anniversary tour. We've played a number of times in this great city and our fans there have always pushed us to another level. Last year at the Dome was spectacular so we're really stoked to be back"

plus guests DEATH GOALS live Downstairs at The Dome

NYC's resident misfits Couch Slut have played a veritable strain of drug-fueled, incendiary noise rock since 2013. Led by Megan Osztrosits' infernal roar and subversive, vitriolic lyrics, the quintet returns with their fourth full-length opus You Could Do It Tonight, just in time for America's only holiday that matters...4/20.

Recorded amidst the filth of NYC with Uniform's Ben Greenberg (Drab Majesty, Portrayal of Guilt, Metz), Couch Slut subverts the paradigm and ups the ante in every imaginable way across nine vignettes of perverse, true-to-life storytelling layered over the band's singular, dragged-through-the-mud songcraft. This is a depraved style of noise rock that will scare the living shit out of you. With ten full years of pain and suffering under its proverbial belt, Couch Slut sounds more urgent, threatening, nasty and despondent than ever. The perfect soundtrack for 2024.

KIM DRACULA

LiveNation presents KIM DRACULA live at The Dome

Surfacing from the flesh-eating diseases and torrential wildfires of Australia, Kim Dracula has arrived to create turbulent, creative art that mirrors the chaotic world around us. With the release of their debut album "A Gradual Decline In Morale", they have showcased their ability to traverse multiple genres whilst maintaining a consistent narrative.

Utilising their 6-octave vocal range and a vast array of voices they are able to summon, they go from critiquing society to essentially toying with the listener. In this album, they tell a frightening, yet all too familiar story, all while having fun doing so. The lead single and most popular song from the album, "Make Me Famous", delivers a gluttonous feast of violence, chaos, and satire. Extreme and multi-faceted both lyrically and visually, this track dwarfed Dracula's previous musical output by abrasively blending multiple styles, all composed instrumentally by Kim Dracula themselves. Genres include metal, industrial, jazz, trap, and Latin music, all within a single song without flying off the rails. This eclectic combining of musical styles is consistent throughout the entire album.

Still at the beginning of their career, their distinctive and unique musical style has already begun making waves, inspiring numerous emerging artists. With their musical compositions, extreme visuals, and refusal to fit into any specific box, Kim Dracula is gaining a devoted following all across the world and in all different communities. Through all of this, they are reshaping the future of music and proving themselves a creative force to be reckoned with.

KITTIE - SOLD OUT

KITTIE - SOLD OUT

LiveNation presents KITTIE with support from HOLY WARS live at The Dome

Depending on when you discovered Canadian bashers Kittie has a direct influence on how you see them. For those that were on board from the beginning with the Spit album, released in 1999, Kittie was considered part of the nu-metal movement. Going into their later albums, In The Black (2009) and I've Failed You (2011), the band had evolved into something far more sinister, and were viewed as a serious full-on metal outfit. Just as they seemed to be hitting their stride six albums into their career, however, Kittie slowly disappeared from the scene in the wake of touring for I've Failed You. The silence was eventually dubbed an "indefinite hiatus" by the band, broken only by a one-off hometown show in London, Ontario in 2017, and the release of the documentary, Kittie: Origins/Evolutions, in 2018

Now, 13 years later, that silence has been broken in earnest

Produced by Nick Raskulinecz (Foo Fighters, Rush, Alice In Chains, Korn), Kittie have unleashed Fire. In the making for the better part of 2023, the band kept things under wraps as best they could, determined to make the biggest and best noise possible when the new record finally surfaced with lead single, “Eyes Wide Open”. Incidentally, the first song written for the new album. Call it taking care of unfinished business years after coming to the conclusion that Kittie had overstayed their welcome

"We felt like we had to take a break, and I think that sucked some of the excitement and the fun out of it for us," reveals vocalist / guitarist Morgan Lander. "We did a lot of touring, and the more we hit the same markets over and over again, it felt like there were fewer people there. We weren't sure that we could keep doing this financially, mentally and emotionally. It's fun and everything, but sweating it out in a band was not the nicest thing to do at that point in our lives. We felt that maybe it would be okay to put Kittie aside and try a different life. It was a really hard time."

Morgan, drummer Mercedes Lander, guitarist Tara McLeod and bassist Ivy Vujic maintain that Kittie did not break up because it is an ingrained part of their identity. The documentary and the one-off show in London were intended as a cap on everything, leaving a big question mark at what might happen down the road at the same time. Offers from promoters to do some shows in 2022 and 2023 were enough to convince Kittie to dust off their instruments, resulting in a renewed interest in the band and a label deal offer from Sumerian Records. The quartet discussed it and agreed that it sounded like fun to get back to making music again.

Mercedes: "We had nothing but the label said it didn't matter. We were 100% unprepared to be offered a record deal, so we had to get into gear and make things happen."

Fire was written unlike any other Kittie album. It was the first time in the band's history that they weren't in a room together due to living so far apart from one another. When they finally did gather as a unit, it was like putting on a pair of comfortable boots., with no need to break things in before getting down to business.

"It was one of those 'Oh yes' moments," says Tara, "because it's pretty crazy the way the four of us click. I found that super refreshing. We can play together without having to settle into it first."

Fire lifts elements from every album in Kittie's catalogue, although that wasn't necessarily a conscious decision. Thirteen years away has turned out growth in songwriting, arranging, lyrical content and vocal melodies, creating something monstrous and volatile.

Morgan: "I was trying to find a way to marry the ideas of this band. Some people think of us as a nu-metal band, and those elements are still under the surface in our sound, but as we progressed as a band, we were able to create our own identity with a little bit more fast and extreme stuff."

The final piece of the puzzle for Fire was Nick Raskulinecz. Regarded as a producer-to-the-stars at this point of his career, and on Kittie's shortlist, they initially opted not to submit his name as a possibility. They did contact Raskulinecz eventually, following a few discussions with other producers, and were blown away by his excitement for the new material and music as a whole.

"Nick fits the spirit of Kittie," says Ivy. "He has the same musical philosophy that we do in terms of we're just trying to make the best music we can make. It's not like, 'Hey guys, let's listen to what's hip and cool on internet radio.' Nick just wanted to make a piece of art, and that matches the idea behind Kittie. He's very pure that way, so I think that's why we got the record that we did; because we all wanted the best."

Their iconic look is only surpassed by their intense live performances, which have earned them a place as one of the most captivating live acts in the UK.

GETDOWN SERVICES — SOLD OUT

Bad Vibrations presents GETDOWN SERVICES

Getdown Services are a two piece from Bristol that provide a sweat soaked, tub thumping, groove infused experience. Squint your eyes and it’s a stag do on a karaoke machine but open your mind and you’ll find it’s at least 500% more enjoyable than that.

Having been described as Sleaford Mods meets LCD Soundsystem, word has spread rapidly of their anarchic and high energy rapport with the audience, leading to sell out headline performances and a loyal following in their home city of Bristol. Their fast-rising popularity is the natural result of two close friends collaborating and creating something to be enjoyed, not just by themselves, but by as many people as possible in one shared experience.

SWEET PILL

LiveNation presents SWEET PILL with support from LOVE RARELY and POLLYANNA live at Downstairs at The Dome

Sweet Pill has a style earmarked by an earnest ingenuity that many young artists are quick to romanticize and aspire to but slow to cultivate and execute. It takes time. For singer Zayna Youssef, guitarists Jayce Williams and Sean McCall, bassist Ryan Cullen, and drummer Chris Kearney, however, their 5 years together have seen their hard work rewarded tenfold in half as long as it would take almost anyone else. From their 2018 inception, Sweet Pill forged a storied path leading to this moment: the release of their new EP, Starchild, their first for new label home, Hopeless Records.

There's a cinematic quality to Sweet Pill’s forming in college in New Jersey, converting a small school bus into a tour-ready, cross-country capable vehicle (complete with bunks!) and driving it to SXSW in efforts to draw attention to their newly growing passion. In true film fashion, Sweet Pill arrived at the world-famous Austin festival only to be informed of its cancellation as the introduction of shelter-in-place restrictions surrounding the emergence of COVID-19. Proceeding to return home, their converted vehicle buckled under the pressure of the excursion, leaving them stranded for several days in Baton Rouge, LA before returning to their new home of Philadelphia.

It was this struggle that set the stage for the writing process that conceived what would become Sweet Pill’s first full-length LP, ‘Where the Heart Is. ’When it came time to record, the group went to the studio Gradwell House with Matt Weber (A Great Big Pile of Leaves), eventually releasing it on classic emo label Topshelf Records in 2021. ‘Where the Heart Is ’and the support tours it led to (La Dispute, Their/They’re/There, and Origami Angel) didn’t come directly next, either. The band waited another year after their SXSW snafu before signing to Topshelf. With time, though, offers materialized, and their song “High Hopes” even earned itself a spin by Paramore’s Hayley Williams on her BBC Radio podcast “Everything Is Emo.” Bit by bit, buzz started to grow, leading the band to land a tour with The Wonder Years and, soon after, catching the ear of veteran indie label, Hopeless Records.

Starchild sees Sweet Pill returning to Weber and Gradwell House for another triumph, tapping in Dave Downham for mastering, and ‘Where the Heart Is ’art illustrator Kerry Dunn to continue the style their debut established. With these two releases, Sweet Pill only hopes to inspire others into a life lived passionately in close community with like-minded individuals, as they have been by bands like Algernon Cadwallader, Hop Along, and, of course, Paramore. For Williams, the only intention is “to live a sustainable life while playing music and uplift the people around me,” while drummer Chris Kearney feels it is his only path. “I don’t know what else I would do, I don’t have another purpose in life.”

Marrying ‘80s US rock and roll with British shoegaze, BIIG TIME are keenly exploring the boundaries of indie-rock and bringing along their unwavering knack for writing melodies that crawl inside your head and refuse to leave.

Complete with steezy vocals and a wall of verbed-out guitars, ‘It’s You’ is the first taste of their swelling catalog of tunes, and it won’t be their last. BIIG TIME have clocked on.

THE USED - SOLD OUT

Slam Dunk proudly presents THE USED with support from WINONAFIGHTER and LACEY

Emerging as a voice for the damaged masses in the early-2000s post-hardcore scene, Utah-bred rock group the Used connected to their audience with a potent mixture of feral rage and unabashed vulnerability. Their breakthrough platinum debut, The Used, gained popularity on both radio and MTV, bolstered by hit singles like "The Taste of Ink" and "Buried Myself Alive." As their presence on the touring circuit increased, they hit a mainstream peak with 2004's platinum In Love and Death and its follow-up, 2007's Lies for the Liars. While they remained a respected name in the scene and were a fixture in the Top 20, latter albums were less visible outside of their devoted core fan base. With each set, their sound evolved and band members matured, reaching creative peaks on their seventh effort, 2017's The Canyon, and 2020's Heartwork.

LENE LOVICH

Stigmata presents LENE LOVICH plus THE GOSPEL live Downstairs at The Dome

Detroit-born legendary post-punk pop singer Lene Lovich hit the top of the UK charts with her single “Lucky Number” in 1979, and was crowned the “Queen of Quirk”, influencing a generation of pop and alternative acts, from Nina Hagen to Boy George, and from Madonna to Dresden Dolls. A normally reclusive figure, Lovich turned her back on the limelight after her third album No Man’s Land was released in 1982 amid disagreements with her record company about her unwillingness to compromise her groundbreaking visual style for the then newly emergent MTV. Subsequently she has recorded only two albums in the last thirty years. Lovich’s unique vocal and visual style, along with her catchy but experimental songwriting, has exerted a huge influence over alternative pop culture and garnered her many plaudits and continued interest. She has been described as everything from “Kate Bush on acid” to “the New Wave Maria Callas”. Her hits “Lucky Number”, “Say When”, “Bird Song” and “New Toy” are still regular features in the clubs and radio of Europe, Japan, Australia and the USA. In May 2012, Lene joined forces with Subterraneans frontman Jude Rawlins for a celebration of the music of German composer Kurt Weill. During the tour they hatched an idea to form a new band to take Lene’s classic material back on the road. Jude immediately recruited bassist Lydia Fischer and drummer Morgan King in June, and keyboardist Kirsten Morrison joined in July. It was a baptism of fire for the new band, after just one low-key show at London’s much-loved 12 Bar club, their next appearance was headlining the annual Drop Dead Festival in Berlin

2025 sees the Lene Lovich Band back on the road. They were one of the headline acts at the Rebellion Festival 2024 and have been touring regularly since 2015.

WITCHZ

Live Nation proudly presents WITCHZ

WHO IS WITCHZ… WITCHZ is more than music. He’s an atmosphere. Dark and breathy, his sound fuses bass-heavy alt-pop, electronic phonk, and southwestern nostalgia, creating a world that puts you both in motion and hypnosis.

Based in Las Vegas, WITCHZ pulls inspiration from the southwest desert and mountain wilderness, weaving these landscapes into a surreal visual story. He’s a shadow, he’s your reflection, a figure that exists in the negative space. An enigma that fuels imagination.

WITCHZ lyrical expressions tend to lean in on psychedelic experiences, love, hate, and mental health. As a songwriter and self-produced artist he summons sounds that emotionally drive the music and it’s mood… like a supernatural harmony for your soul.

With nearly 3M in the growing WITCHZ KVLT, his music and content is said to ignite your inner villain and resurrect the broken.

DEAD PIONEERS

DEAD PIONEERS

Hassle Records proudly presents DEAD PIONEERS with special guests JOOLS and FALSE REALITY

Dead Pioneers emerged as a dynamic extension of vocalist Gregg Deal’s performance art, seamlessly blending music with critical cultural commentary. Rooted in the same themes of identity and resistance that define his visual work, the band’s sound acts as a powerful platform for addressing the complexities of Indigenous experience. Deal harnesses the raw energy of punk and alternative influences to challenge prevailing narratives, using lyrics that provoke thought and evoke emotion. Just as his performance art confronts the legacies of colonization and systemic marginalization, Dead Pioneers - completed by Josh Rivera and Abe Brennan on guitars, bassist Lee Tesche (Algiers) and drummer Shane Zweygardt - engages audiences in a visceral dialogue about survival, resilience, and reclamation of voice. This musical endeavor not only amplifies his artistic vision but also creates a space for collective expression and solidarity, inviting listeners to reflect on the intersections of culture, history, and identity in a contemporary context. Through Dead Pioneers, Deal continues to assert that art, in all its forms, can be a powerful vehicle for activism and change.

NEWDAD - SOLD OUT

AEG presents NEWDAD with support from BETTER LIVING live at The Dome

The beauty and bite of NewDad’s debut album ‘Madra’ made the Galway band one of the biggest new hopes around. Bringing a youthful zest to storied influences such as Slowdive, The Cure and Cocteau Twins, their amalgamation of classic ‘90s aesthetics attracted a diverse and still-growing audience: teenagers throwing themselves around in the mosh pit with care-free abandon

Such scenes were replicated wherever they went, from Glastonbury to Radio 1’s Big Weekend and even into China. “I had never cried on stage, but I did in Shanghai,” grins vocalist/guitarist Julie Dawson as if he’s been transported back to that moment. “There were 1600 people singing back to us and I was like, what the fuck is going on? People were queuing for hours just to say hi. It was crazy.”

The tentpole moment of this first NewDad chapter came with a headline show at KOKO that was packed from wall-to-wall, from the dancefloor and into the venue’s ornate upper tiers. After playing to a visually arresting puppetry backdrop, they stepped off stage wowed by the moment - but also by what it could mean for their upcoming adventures.

And NewDad’s future is now just a step away as they prepare to release their new EP ‘Safe’. It’s precisely what fans would want from their band: their core shoegaze/dream-pop sound elevated with a swaggering new self-confidence, a tight, masterly control of hooks, and broader touch points such as Pavement and Sonic Youth. In short: their ethereal elements feel more alluring than ever; the visceral moments are more selective and dynamic but hit just as hard; and their songs are simply a leap in sophistication beyond ‘Madra’.
