THE OBSESSED
DesertScene presents THE OBSESSED performing 'The Church Within' in its entirety plus special guests FAMYNE and IRON VOID live Downstairs at The Dome
"Scott “Wino” Weinrich is a living legend. In a way, he is the American version of Lemmy and shares many traits with the late, much-beloved metal icon. He’s always been a rebel, loner and an outsider in an outsider scene, pursuing his music without regard for popularity or acceptance. In the process, he came to be considered one of the early pioneers of American doom. All of this began when he founded THE OBSESSED back in the 70s, then pursued through his many other outfits such as Saint Vitus or Spirit Caravan. As a key part of the 80s Washington/Maryland music scene, his music earned the respect of metal, punk and crossover fans alike while often being dubbed doom metal. Looking back, it was just gritty, street-wise American metal with a cynical bent and psychedelic flair, and this is what made him the unique and timeless heavy music icon he is today.
THE OBSESSED was formed in the late 1970s in Potomac, Maryland by legendary guitarist Scott “Wino” Weinrich (Saint Vitus, Spirit Caravan). The band spawned in the realm of musicians/artists such as Black Sabbath, Frank Zappa, The Dictators, and The Stooges. The earliest lineup consisted of Wino, bassist Mark Laue, guitarist John Reese, and drummer Dave Flood. In 1983, Wino took over vocal duties and the band became a three-piece to record the Sodden Jackal EP. The band broke up in the late 80s after Wino moved to California to join Saint Vitus. At that time, a German label, Hellhound Records, and the booking agency that had signed Saint Vitus, released The Obsessed, originally recorded in 1985, prompting Wino to reform THE OBSESSED. After multiple lineup changes, the band signed to Columbia Records in 1994 to release their third and final album, The Church Within. Despite highly acclaimed reviews, they would break up following the release, seeing Wino forming Spirit Caravan (then Shine) and other projects."

WORMROT
Old Empire & Doomstar proudly present WORMROT with support from CALLIGRAM and HARROWED live at The Dome
Note, this show has been upgraded and tickets are going fast!
WORMROT will be back in the original line up! Rolling Stones Magazine described Wormrot's latest release ''HISS'' (2022) as one of the best metal releases of the year. To understand this Singaporean band's most unlikely journey to arrive on a list comprising the likes of Megadeth and Ozzy Osbourne, one must look back to the start where an equally unlikely signing started it all. Earache Records signed their very first Asian act in Wormrot within 2 weeks of Digby Pearson's chance encounter of an online mixtape back in 2009. Fresh faced and straight out of national service, the trio consisting of Rasyid (Guitar), Arif (Vocals), and Fitri (Drums), found themselves with a global record deal.
Now back to the original lineup that started it all, Wormrot is geared to claim a place atop Grind’s pinnacle. Perhaps Kerrang Magazine put it best, that 'Wormrot can grind faces with the best of them, but they also bring in a host of other elements and their own unique flavour'.

The now seven-piece band tours almost constantly and has gained a huge and loyal following worldwide. Their last studio album ‘Crime Scene’ reached number 18 in the German album charts.
The upcoming tour will, of course, focus on ‘World Through My Eyes’, but other highlights from the band’s diverse and exciting discography will not be missing.

VARMIA
Born Again Concerts presents VARMIA plus supports NAHEMIA and LAVINIA WHATELEY live Downstairs at The Dome
Inspired by the ancient Baltic tribes, VARMIA keeps alive the heritage of the forgotten northern Poland's district Warmia. Their fusion of raw metallic primordiality and ethnic sounds of the Baltic Rites utilize traditional instruments such as tagelharpa, kantele, goat horn, a distinctive wooden tube, various percussions, and the traditional ancient "whitevoice” way of clean singing.
VARMIA records all their musical rituals live in culturally significant remote locations, and, in turn, capture the raw power, ambiance, and vibe of these places. Many of the vocal recordings are done deep in the forests of Poland in order to capture the natural woodland reverberations of the region.

earthtone9
Kilimanjaro proudly presents earthtone9 with support from The Five Hundred live at The Dome
earthtone9 are rightly hailed by those who know as one of the most forward-thinking, clever, musically wise and creatively smart in the history of British metal. Emerging in the late ‘90s as nu-metal was beginning to surge, their more nuanced palette and intelligent approach saw them hailed as something special and excitingly against the grain from the very beginning. Making an album a year between 1998 and 2000 – beginning with their expertly crafted Lo-def(inition) Discord debut, and culminating in 2000’s staggering Arc’tan’gent – it was a workrate as intense as the music was uniformly brilliant.
After splitting in 2002 the band made a surprise return in 2013 with the crowdfunded album, IV. Following this they made only occasional appearances in the live arena (including at the ArcTanGent Festival, which purloined its name from their third album!), before once again seeming to disappear on hiatus.
Now, 11 years on from their last record, they present In Resonance Nexus, a thrilling work of brains and muscle that not only stokes a fire, but sees the band's core members – vocalist Karl Middleton and guitarists Owen Packard and Joe Roberts – rediscovering and reconnecting with what makes them so special. In Resonance Nexus is the heaviest, fiercest, most heightened record they have ever made; a startling combination of almost feral intensity and the latter-day songwriting chops they displayed on the IV album.
“In Resonance Nexus, as a title, is saying that we’ve found the core and the essence of the band again,” says Karl. “We were digging deep to find common musical ground, and between Joe and Owen, and I, it really felt like that there was a resonance there. It feels like we've landed on a really legitimate, 21st century version of the band. We were asking, ‘Why are we doing this?’ and having a very authentic answer.”

Their music - a heady combination of raw, energetic post-punk and nods to the golden age of British indie - has resulted in an ever-growing cult following and garnered the attention and praise of legends such as Iggy Pop, Steve Lamacq, Tom Robinson, Isaac Holman, and Gemma Bradley at BBC Radio 1. MOON SAFARI
London Prog Gigs presents MOON SAFARI live at Downstairs at The Dome
Swedish progressive rock veterans MOON SAFARI are back in London as part of their 20th anniversary tour. Marking two decades since the release of their debut album ‘A Doorway to Summer’, the band is following on the success of their latest critically acclaimed studio album ‘Himlabacken Vol. 2’ which earned them a top five spot in the Prog Magazine Readers Poll of 2023 and saw them play for sold out crowds in Japan, UK, Norway and Sweden.
Moon Safari have risen to be one of the top contenders on the melodic progressive rock scene. With five studio albums, two live recordings and a list of past shows including opening slots for Yes at the Royal Albert hall in 2016 and for ex-Marillion frontman Fish in 2018, together with several sold out headline tours in Japan and five appearances on Cruise to the Edge, the band has racked up an impressive list of accomplishments for a independent act that still releases all their music on their label Blomljud Records.
On this tour the band will be putting on a big, varied show spanning their whole 20-year career to appeal both to the old school Moon Safari listeners and newcomers alike. Highly recommended for fans of classic melodic progressive rock with big vocal arrangements!
Johan Westerlund (bass, backing and occasional lead vocals) says:
"We're delighted to announce this London show as part of our 20th anniversary tour. We've played a number of times in this great city and our fans there have always pushed us to another level. Last year at the Dome was spectacular so we're really stoked to be back"

FLETCHR FLETCHR
Live Nation presents FLETCHR FLETCHR live at Downstairs at The Dome
The four-piece were formed by three schoolfriends (vocalist/guitarist Rohan Fletcher, lead guitarist (and Jet Black’s producer) Adam Sanders, and drummer Oli Williams who Fletcher and Sanders nabbed from another school band). The trio all chose to study at the same university where they plotted the plight of their new band together. Bassist George Green arrived when Fletchr Fletchr were already almost fully-formed, ushered on stage for a show merely days after joining.
Naming your band after the vocalist follows a curious lineage (Van Halen, Florence & The Machine, Mumford & Sons, Ben Folds Five to name but a few), yet the actual reasoning is somewhat sweeter. Firstly, it’s in tribute to Rohan’s father, who passed away as the band’s biggest fan and source of encouragement. And secondly, when Adam moved into Rohan’s family home, working at their pub alongside Rohan, it was commented by friends that the pair had become almost inseparable, with Adam welcomed as a genuine part of the family Fletchr – and thus Fletchr Fletchr were born.
The very adult but relatable emotions of anxiety, love, and grief are already at the heart of what the band are writing their nascent songs about, and are quickly finding a kinship with their young fanbase by tapping into those themes. None of it goes hidden, instead rocketed out verbatim in these dizzying guitar songs.

DEVILOOF
Born Again Concerts proudly presents DEVILOOF live Downstairs at The Dome
Formed in 2015, DEVILOOF has rapidly risen as one of the most extreme and innovative bands in the Japanese metal scene. Known for their brutality and theatrical visuals, the band fuses elements of deathcore, slamming brutal death metal, and traditional Japanese aesthetics.

Fearless, ferocious, and unapologetically original, DEVILOOF push boundaries while honoring its roots and offering a thrilling dive into the darker side of Japanese music.

KENNYHOOPLA X GIRLFRIENDS | sold out
Live Nation presents KENNYHOOPLA X GIRLFRIENDS live Downstairs at The Dome
KENNYHOOPLA
‘Conditions of an orphan//‘ is a bold new breakthrough for Kennyhoopla. His fifth proper EP—and his final release before putting out his long-awaited debut album—finds the Cleveland-hailing singer-songwriter embracing the music that he grew up with and digging deeper than ever into his own personal experiences. The result is an exciting new chapter for Kennyhoopla, and it’s only the beginning. This new collection of music is the culmination of Kennyhoopla’s journey so far and follows this past spring’s rebirth // renaissance EP this past spring, a release that represented “a new beginning” for Kenny as his inaugural release on the Orchard. If that EP took inspiration from vintage-classic acts like the Drums and New Order, then conditions of an orphan// dives deep into the buzzsaw indie rock sound of the 2000s—think the Rapture’s spiky rhythms and Franz Ferdinand’s suave effervescence.
With a new sound comes new collaborators, including Paramore drummer Zac Farro, who handled production across conditions of an orphan// and laid down some sticks skills in his Nashville studio for “orphan//.” “I brought him that song and he made it sound even more like an actual song,” Kenny marvels. Production extraordinaire Mike Elizondo (Turnstile, 50 Cent) also assisted in production duties during conditions of an orphan’s creative process, contributing to “mona lisa we miss you//” and “too many jocks turned rockstars//”: “He was like, ‘Send me all the ideas you have right now, whether you like them or not—and we’ll pick which ones I think have the most potential.”
GIRLFRIENDS
As the exceedingly prolific pair known as girlfriends, Travis Mills and Nick Gross conjure songs that are at once pleasingly familiar and warmly unique. In less than three years, the duo created not one but two urgent, inspired, and original albums.
They’ve already sold out the Roxy in LA; opened for Machine Gun Kelly; toured with Mod Sun and Grayscale; and played a festival with Twenty One Pilots. SPIN called girlfriends’ self-titled debut “polished, impassioned, and commanding,” comparing their cross-genre appeal to MGK and Trippie Redd. AVKRVST
Born Again Concerts presents AVKRVST plus support live Downstairs at The Dome
Forged in the flames of childhood friendship, AVKRVST appeared from nowhere, fully formed and avowedly creative. Simon Bergseth and Martin Utby are musicians operating on instinct and intuition, and judging by the ecstatic response to their debut album The Approbation, there are many people who recognise magic when they hear it. Released in 2023, The Approbation introduced a new force in progressive metal, and a fresh strain of artful heaviness that instantly chimed with the prog community and beyond.

GIDEON
Live Nation presents GIDEON live at The Dome
Since forming in 2008 in Tuscaloosa, AL, Gideon had been making a name for themselves by defying convention, creating their own distinct sound and never settling for anything that was just run of the mill or ordinary. Rather, the band—completed today by founding member and drummer Jake Smelley, vocalist Daniel McWhorter, guitarist/vocalist Tyler Riley and bassist Caleb DeRusha—kept stretching the boundaries of their sound to great acclaim and to increasing commercial success. 2011’s debut album, Costs, established them as powerhouse of the metalcore scene, but that’s something the band simultaneously pushed away from it, incorporating elements of melodic hardcore and hardcore punk into the fold of their songs, but always with an underlying sense of positivity and defiance. Impressively prolific, the band released their next two full-lengths, Milestone and Calloused, on Facedown Records in 2012 and 2014 respectively, before signing to Equal Vision Records. Their first album for EVR was 2017’s Cold, followed by Out Of Control in 2019, a record that deservedly saw the band’s profile rising steadily. That brings us to Gideon’s 6th full-length studio album. Recorded/mixed/mastered by Randy Lebouef at Graphic Nature Audio, “MORE POWER. MORE PAIN.”is a brutally intense burst of violent noise that both nods to the band’s past, musically and thematically, but also establishes itself in its own context.

TSA
1664 Music and Born Again concerts present TSA live Downstairs at The Dome
The band formed in 1979 in Opole as an initiative of guitarist Andrzej Nowak. The original line-up additionally included Stefan Machel (guitar), Janusz Niekrasz (bass) and Marek Kapłon (drums). TSA was originally an instrumental band. It won a "battle of the bands" during the 1981 Jarocin Festival at which members met Marek Piekarczyk, a singer in Sektor A. He debuted as TSA's vocalist a month later at the Pop Session festival in Sopot.
The band's song "Zwierzenia kontestatora" ("Confessions Of A Contestant") appears in the musical documentary Behind the Iron Curtain, which documents the heavy metal band Iron Maiden's first visit to Poland and other countries in Eastern Europe. The song is used as background music during the scene filmed in the music club Remont.
TSA's song "Marsz wilków" ("The Marching Of The Wolves") is used in the 1983 Polish children's movie Akademia Pana Kleksa (Academy of Mr. Kleks) – a film based on Jan Brzechwa's 1964 book.
The group disbanded on the eve of the 1990s, but came back together in the spring of 2001 to record and perform a 'classical line-up' of music.
As is common of heavy metal bands with acronym-based names, "TSA" may have no meaning, although in a 2003 press release one of the founders claimed that the acronym originally meant "Tajne Stowarzyszenie Abstynentów" – "Teetotallers' Secret Association".
In 2018, the band suspended its activities. In May 2021, there was a reactivation with the core of the team supplemented by Zbyszek Kraszewski and Paweł Mąciwoda.

STYGIAN BOUGH
Old Empire presents STYGIAN BOUGH plus supports 40 WATT SUN at The Dome
In our human minds, according to the Law of Contagious Magic as described in The Golden Bough by anthropologist James Frazer, contact between two objects creates an inseparable thread between them. A gift from a dead friend forever holds this magic like a scar reflecting a wound. Similarly, a piece of food that touches the floor is suddenly abject and rotten. Pairing this notion with the Law of Similarity Magic, as described by Frazer, where an object resembling another can share its power, a musical notion can be understood to serve as an unbodied conduit of such magics; an emotional contact between the music and audience wherein such sorcery threads an inseparable seam that, for a time, resemble each other.
Aptly named in reference to the aforementioned book, Stygian Bough, the collaboration between Bell Witch (Dylan Desmond, Jesse Shreibman) and Aerial Ruin (Erik Moggridge) enlivens its unbodied presence resembling both projects as a conduit in its own separate entity.
The partnership at the center of Stygian Bough is over in a decade in the making, growing from Moggridge’s recurring contributions to the Bell Witch catalog. Their initial collusion occurring on the debut Bell Witch album Longing (2012) following which, Moggridge would return to guest on both Four Phantoms (2015) and Mirror Reaper (2017).
Stygian Bough Volume I was released in 2020, Volume II is imminent.

DHP presents SWAMI JOHN REIS plus support live Downstairs at The Dome
Celebrating 55 years in the music business! Swami John Reis is back with his second LP in eight months. Time To Let You Down is a savage blast of junk shoppe punk that kicks you in the ding ding. This eleven track LP is chock full of fist pumpers, head bumpers, stinky dumpers, meaty thumpers and toe stumpers. The tempos are often breakneck and the dense arrangements tumble like bricks into hot cheese. The undeniable sonic girth barges at will into lathered ear tubes allowing these barbaric anthems to echo in hollow domes. Feel the whip crack break skin on the acne scarred backs of our cultural oppressors. The sound is tough. The songs are a bitch. Incite your expectations with the single “Fed To The Dogs” or the title track. Salty leather and wobbly chain link fences can’t contain its rebel intent.
These recordings took place Oct. 2024 and features Swami John Reis on guitar and vocals with contributions from Jason Sinclair (Hot Snakes), Joey Guevara (Swami and the Bed Of Nails), Jacob Turnbloom (Mrs. Magician) and Glen Galloway (Truman’s Water). The record was produced by John Reis, engineered and mixed by Ben Moore and mastered by Dave Gardner.
Time To Let You Down is pressed on virgin, Egyptian pellets and available in limited, colorful vinyl that have been hand-swirled. You’ll not only clearly hear the difference, you will see it as well.

DIVISION REDUX
Stigmata presents DIVISION REDUX plus supports VAUGHN GEORGE and GREENHOUSE live Downstairs at The Dome
Almost every synth-pop fan in Germany and elsewhere knows the name and the DE/VISION brand. The guys who formed at the end of the 80s, played their way from various youth clubs to a major record deal in the 90s and left behind countless hits and live shows. DE/VISION in a nutshell.
DEVISION REDUX - what the hell is that?
According to singer SteWen Keth, DEVISION REDUX is a new format of DE/VISION, which in no way means the end of the actual band. DEVISION REDUX is an additional format and stands for the most important tracks of DE/VISION in a clubbier, more modern, partly also more minimalistic, but purely electronic guise. SteWen has chosen none other than Daniel Myer (HAUJOBB, DSTR, COVENANT etc.) as his partner for any new interpretations: a man who has followed DE/VISION's history from the very beginning. Daniel already supported DE/VISION musically in the 90s with several remixes and was always a welcome guest with his projects in the supporting program.

CHASE PETRA
Slam Dunk Presents CHASE PETRA with support from SOOT SPRITE and BRUTALLIGATORS live Downstairs at The Dome
CHASE PETRA’s music has always been about growth: growing up, growing out, growing tired of what others expect of you. On their sophomore album, LULLABIES FOR DOGS (Wax Bodega), the Long Beach, CA trio once again elevates the existential questions that pepper life’s long, unpredictable journey.
The follow-up to 2018’s Liminal, Lullabies for Dogs alternates timeless melodicism (the somber “Two Nights In New York” and hypnotic acoustic-based “Icarus”) and tireless energy (“Centrifugal Force” and “Bread And Circus,” which crash with the unpredictability of early Panic! At the Disco) – establishing Allen, drummer Evan Schaid and bassist Brooke Dickson as one of the emo scene’s most adroit acts.
And it’s their sense of figuring things out in real time that makes Chase Petra so relatable, as the band’s “quarter-life-crisis pop” elevates deep introspection to navigate the messiness and confusion that comes with modern life. Their songs are guided by the age-old push-and-pull between what it means to grow up and be grown up, to see your once-bright dreams dulled by the responsibilities of adulthood and grapple with the fallout.
“A lot of this record deals with what it means to be an adult who’s playing music and also has bills to pay,” Allen says. “I’ve wanted to do this my whole life, and I’ve never second-guessed that – but now my frontal lobe is fully developed, and I’m starting to wonder if this is really going to make me happy or if it’s going to tear me apart.”

BEEN STELLAR
Metropolis Music Presents BEEN STELLAR with support from GREEN STAR live at The Dome
Like so many other dyed-in-the-wool New York bands, Been Stellar are transplants. Guitarist Skyler Knapp and vocalist Sam Slocum first met in their freshman year of high school a decade ago; members of the cross country team, they bonded over the band t-shirt Skyler was wearing and decided to start jamming together. In Michigan, they started performing under the Been Stellar name, but it wasn’t until the pair began studying at NYU that a sound started to coalesce and the band took shape.
Determined to break new sonic ground, the band embarked on a relentless practice schedule, even renting scrappy studios on days off during tours with Fontaines DC and Shame. After befriending him at SXSW, the band tapped producer Dan Carey (black midi, Wet Leg) to help coalesce the disparate elements of their sound that had been percolating: forceful, driving physicality; pop classicism; gnarled beauty; and a rich emotional core. The resulting 10-song album announces Been Stellar as gimlet-eyed chroniclers of contemporary youth, staring through noise and confusion into the dark heart of modern life. These songs embody the spirit of a city that makes and breaks its inhabitants on a daily basis - an irony befitting the album’s tone: Been Stellar’s preternatural ability to capture the disconnection that haunts New York with photorealist detail might just be the thing that vaults them into its pantheon.
Been Stellar is Sam Slocum (vocals), Skyler Knapp (guitar), Nico Brunstein (bass), Gigi Giobbi (drums).

VON HERTZEN BROTHERS
DHP Family presents VON HERTZEN BROTHERS live at The Dome
Von Hertzen Brothers have never been an easy band to categorise by genre.
Their music is often and better illustrated in terms one might use to describe a novella, painting or a movie: Dynamic. Thought provoking. Magical. Nuanced. Expansive. Epic. Uplifting. It’s understandable how a strong artistic temperament was instilled into these three siblings. Kie, Mikko and Jonne’s father, Hasse and uncle, Lasse von Hertzen both played in well-known Scandinavian bands in the 60’s and 70s. One of Kie’s godfathers was an early Finnish environmentalist pioneer, the other one a well-known artist and a sculptor. The boys spent their holidays at their family’s seaside cabin on Finnish coastland where they still spend time writing songs and exploring the nature. An inevitable mutual vision steeped in Finnish folklore, musical traditions, wildlife, and humanitarian causes is often evident in their songwriting.

PSYCROPTIC
Born Again Concerts presents PSYCROPTIC plus special guests PHOBETOR and LOBOTOMICA live at Downstairs at The Dome
When the history of technical metal is viewed in years to come, the books will come to show that PSYCROPTIC are responsible for a hefty slice of the genre. The band blasted into the deepest underground in the late 90s, then proceeded to drag the metal scene closer to what they do by sheer attrition. Their music guides you through the densest of riff jungles before bursting into the clear with powerfully rhythmic grooves and blasts, anchored by the profoundly talented Haley brothers.
