Scruff of the Neck presents HOUSE OF WOMEN plus support live Downstairs at The Dome

Haunting & Heavy. House of Women are an alt-rock 5 piece band from London consisting of Kyla Lanai (Vocals), Elsa Malazogu (Guitar), Poppy Miller (Guitar), Bella Matthews (Drums) and Fay Thorburn (Bass).

House of Women have rapidly gained a reputation for their captivating live performances. At Dalston’s Shacklewell Arms, they set a record for the most show sign-ups ever, and have headlined a number of sold out shows in venues such as: The Lexington, The George Tavern, Third Man Records and Notting Hill Arts Club. They have appeared at festivals such as 2000 Trees, All Points East, and are set to make their debut in Paris later this year.

Their sound is characterised by a blend of soft, atmospheric tones paired with explosive, distorted guitar riffs & choruses. Often compared to Alice in Chains, Mazzy Star and PJ Harvey, House of Women brings a heavy 90’s feel whilst interpreting modern cinematic soundscapes from the likes of Turnstile and IDLES.
