CQ Wrestling are a British grunge band led by Charlie Woods and Jake Mac, delivering a fierce yet melodic sound that confronts social and political unrest while offering moments of euphoric escape. Their new album, Resistance, was born from a year of “complete mayhem, mess and chaos” following a devastating loss that turned both Woods and Mac’s worlds upside down.

At the heart of Resistance is a simple saying: “Nothing changes if nothing changes.” It’s a sentiment that runs through the album’s sonic assault, a record shaped by grief, upheaval and the determination to push back against the world around them.
