Due to some deeply annoying, completely unforeseen LIFE STUFF, Bulbul can’t make it to London’s LOVE NOISE FREEDOM Festival — or any of the other UK shows this September.
We’re sad. They’re even sadder. But before anybody starts inventing wild stories: everyone is fine, nobody hates anybody, no band has exploded, no scandal, no fistfight, no mysterious disappearance. Sometimes life just barges through the door, knocks over your beer and ruins your plans. This is one of those times. And then there was another thing. We started looking at numbers. And risks. And responsibilities. And all that horribly grown-up shit that makes you stare at the ceiling at 4 in the morning wondering why something that is supposed to be FUN suddenly feels like you’re trying to land an aeroplane in a thunderstorm.

And somewhere in the middle of that, I remembered what made going to shows so fucking great in the first place.
You went out.
You discovered something.
You met people.
You danced badly.
You went home happy.
And then it clicked:
If the worry is killing the fun, KILL THE WORRY.
LOVE NOISE FREEDOM IS NOW A FREE SHOW.

No ticket anxiety.
No financial gymnastics.
No “should I / shouldn’t I?”
No excuses.
Just come.
Come early. Come late. Come loud. Bring your friends. Bring someone you just met. Drink. Dance. Sweat. Make noise.
Bulbul won’t be there, and that sucks.
But WE will be. YOU will be. And we’re going to turn the whole damn thing into a celebration anyway.
